Hey girls, thank you so much for the well wishes yesterday.
They made a 5 inch incision above my belly button, drained the mass and then removed it. I woke up in recovery and could only say, "my baby!?" over and over. The nurses checked his heartbeat and it was a strong, normal 155. They were yelling at me about putting my arms down but I can't really remember what I was doing. He is doing great, we are expecting a nurse within the next hour to check his heartbeat again. They are doing this every 8 hours.
I had some contractions right after surgery so I am on a magnesium drip and monitor to prevent them. I haven't had any more since about the first hour after surgery.
It has been a pretty rough go of things physically. I have been vomiting which is extremely painful due to the incision. I am doing breathing treatments to prevent pneumonia every hour and have compression pads on both legs to prevent blood clots. I also have some kind of patch behind my ear to help with nausea.
Also, the freeze test showed that the mass is benign! This is not a definitive result but a very good indication of the actual test results, which we are still waiting on. I did end up losing my left ovary. All of the nurses have told me they couldn't believe how big the mass was.
I am beyond grateful for baby staying put. This has been the most emotionally draining week of my life. I was so afraid of losing him. My husband is my hero, he has been so strong and helping me in every way.
Doctor thinks we will be in the hospital until tomorrow at least. Thank you again for all of the prayers and support. It has truly meant the world to me.

Oh, wow, that's a lot to go through. I'm so glad it was benign, but I'm sorry you had to lose your ovary.
Stay put, baby!!! We need you to hang out in there for a while longer!!
